An abandoned farmhouse, shrouded by trees and isolated in a cornfield, was my first glimpse of pure beauty. Those rooms were more alive than any inhabited space I ever experienced.
There were nearly palpable memories of heartbreak, joy and everything in between.
I paint what I want to see. I prefer to explore and represent rooms with intimate stories to tell. I ultimately want to share those spaces with others on an immersive scale, and in a form more tangible than any possible digital representation. I have forgone the use of rulers and preliminary drawing since 2013.
